Slowhand Sultans Show brings alive the sounds of Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits). Eric and Mark are giants in the world or music. Titans of the guitar, they stand tall amongst the very best of guitarist/vocalists. Slowhand Sultans brings you an authentic experience.
Tim “Slowhand” Gaze has enjoyed a long career as one of Australia’s pre-eminent guitarist / vocalists. Tim has worked with a multitude of artists and projects such as Tamam Shud, Jimmy Barnes, Jon Lord (of Deep Purple), Bob Daisley (Ozzie Osbourne, Rainbow, etc), Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Gyan, Stevie Wright, Rob Grosser, Renee Geyer and many more.
Mick “Sultan” Melit has shared the stage as a backing musician for some of Australia’s most revered artists including Russell Morris, Joe Camilleri, Jon Stevens, Marty Rhone, Frankie J Holden, Kevin Borich, Renee Geyer, Digger Revell and toured extensively as lead vocalist and second guitarist with the late, great Phil Emmanuel.
Tim and Mick are supported by Tom De Voss on Drums and Ian Lock on Bass. Tom and Ian form a tight, driving rhythm section which propels the music onwards and forms a solid platform for the guitar heroics of the lead men.
