THE GREEN PROJECT WITH MICK HANCOCK

Mick Hancock has been employed for the last 20 years as a Community Game Development Officer based in the Logan region for the Brisbane Broncos in partnership with the Greenbank Services Club. The Greenbank Services Club are major partners of this program, having donated approximately 2.5 million dollars in funding to service many of the regions schools, junior rugby league clubs and local charitable organisations. The program provides many varying initiatives to the Logan area, including rugby league specific skills coaching, mentoring and life-skill readiness programs as well as financial supoort to local charitable organisations or not for profit sporting clubs.

Mick whilst originally coming from a Rugby League playing background, has gone on to achieve many fantastic results with his coaching, especially within the women's game. Mick was a member of the coaching staff for the successful World Cup winning Australian Jillaroos Women's Rugby League Team and the Brisbane Broncos NRLW inaugural premiership winning team. He is also the first ever dual Life Member of the Brisbane Broncos Football Club and Broncos Leagues Club Board Member having spent most of his adult life employed by the Brisbane Broncos. Most recently, Mick was awarded the 2023 Local Legend Award presented by Federal MP & Treasurer Jim Chalmers.
